Shakespeare Theater Acoustic Panels

Envisioned as a living instrument, the theater’s shell-like form wraps the amphitheater in a sculpted acoustic landscape, shaping the space through the interplay of sound, structure, and environment. I worked on optimizing the acoustic ceiling system to distribute sound throughout the amphitheater while developing geometric logics that reduced redundancy and brought greater regularity to the system. Environmental data, wind loads, and material rigidity were integrated into the process, balancing acoustic performance with structural resilience and fabrication efficiency.
